The Forest Park Miniature Railroad calendar has been discontinued by order of the management. The Forest Park Miniature Railroad calendar shows the days we are open and closed along with the time of our first train. Both of these can be affected by the weather and the number of passengers. Weather permitting is defined as 55 degrees or above, no appreciable wind, no appreciable precipatation. On Saturday mornings, when enough passengers are present, we may run an Early Bird Special at 10:30am at the discretion of the Train Master.

The year 2009 marked fifty years of service to the people of Fort Worth for The Forest Park Miniature Railroad which opened to the public on 12 June 1959. For a more complete account of our origins, see our early history at Miniature Reflections: Part One.
